    Industry giants reveal revenue rise

    The industry-leading software developers, NetEnt and Evolution, ended their third quarter on a high. Both gaming companies saw an impressive increase in revenue with the Q3 revenue stats.

    Evolution hit a 48% year-on-year rise bringing in €140 million for the third quarter of 2020. NetEnt had an 18% rise in year-on-year revenue finishing strong with SEK167 million after-tax deductions.

    Both software developers have put a lot of focus on expanding their offering, reach and forming new partnerships. It was a good quarter for the companies ensuring they come out on top despite the curveballs thrown by 2020.

    UK gamblers could be restricted with bet limits

    This November the UKGC didn't gain a lot of favour with their new interest in adding more restrictive betting limits to their regulatory requirements. The Commission could introduce a £100 loss limit after which players will be assessed for any possible gambling problems. When the assessment is complete, players would have the option to continue playing.

    The betting limits have not yet been implemented but are open for discussion with a 10-week consultation process currently underway. Once the consultation process is complete, UK gamblers might have to face more changes including restricted betting limits.
