    Greentube enters Canadian iGaming market through BCLC partnership

    Canadian players can now enjoy top-rated Novomatic titles thanks to a partnership with Scientific Games and BCLC.

    Around the world, more countries and governments are starting to open their eyes to the world of iGaming.

    Even countries like Canada are looking for new ways to engage the industry and potentially open new doors in the future.

    Award-winning software provider and casino company, Novomatic, is always finding new ways to expand its territory and it has managed to do so once again.

    Greentube - Now in Canada

    Thanks to a partnership agreement between Greentube, Scientific Games, and the British Columbia Lottery Company, Canadian players will now have access to Novomatic’s interactive division.

    Greentube is the creator of many popular games in the casino industry, including huge titles such as Book of Ra Deluxe, Lucky Lady’s Charm, and Sizzling Hot Deluxe. These titles, along with many more will be available for the first time in Canada in the coming months.

    “The launch in Canada with BCLC is very important for us as BCLC is the first operator to launch our content in the market. This is a significant step in the delivery of Greentube’s wider North American market strategy,” said Michael Bauer, CFO/CGO of Greentube.

    "It is also a clear commitment to the regulated market in Canada as we are supplying to fully licensed operators only. We bring a broad range of exciting new content specifically developed for the North American players, as well as our premium legacy content, which we believe will add real value to BCLC’s current proposition. We are looking forward to this long-term partnership.”

    All of Greentube’s exciting slot titles will be available at PlayNow.com thanks to the integration of SG’s OpenGaming System. Players across British Columbia and Manitoba will be the first to experience the thrill of Greentube’s creations.

    The future of gambling in Canada

    While Greentube is achieving their goal of expanding across Northern America in 2021, Canada has its own possible plans to further expand the iGaming market.

    As the Canadian government becomes more accepting of the casino industry and is open to creating new opportunities, there are exciting possibilities on the horizon.

    Earlier in 2021, a new piece of legislation was put forth that could make single-event sports betting legal. Bill C-281 would have the industry move away from the restrictive pari-mutuel format and embrace more exciting ways for casino customers to play.

    Entain is also looking to Canada to make big changes in the near future. In anticipation, the sports betting and gambling company (one of the largest in the world) has launched consumer practices research with the hopes of entering the market as soon as possible.

    And finally, other parts of Canada are also working to open their doors to the iGaming market with consideration of all Canadian gambling regulations. Both Nova Scotia and Alberta are pursuing the legalisation of gambling within their provinces in the not-too-distant future.

    Canada seems to be the place to watch and there’s no doubt that the casino industry will be ready to join in on the action as soon as it is possible to do so. For now, players in British Columbia and Manitoba can make the most of Greentube’s exciting range of slots!
