    IGT plans to release exciting multi-level progressive jackpot slots

    As one of the oldest software providers in the industry, IGT is making new moves towards giving players what they want.

    If there’s one thing you can always rely on, it’s that the online gambling industry will find new ways to evolve and innovate over time.

    IGT, one of the world’s largest and oldest software providers, is stepping into a new era of game development. The provider has realised that nothing stays the same and that by evolving to embrace new ways of playing, everyone’s a winner.

    It was recently announced that IGT will be embracing multi-level progressive jackpot slots and casino games.

    The beauty of MLPs

    Multi-level progressive games have become very popular thanks to the huge jackpots that can be cultivated on these slots. The frequent wins and multiple jackpots to be won, such as minor, major, and mega jackpots, are all reasons for this type of casino game to grow.

    “One of the appealing factors of multi-level progressives is that (the jackpot) is likely to hit frequently,” said Guenter Bluemel, IGT’s vice president of international content and advanced research. Compared with a Wide Area Progressive machine, “the amount is significantly lower, but the frequency of winning is higher, with the players feeling, expecting, and experiencing this.”

    The provider has many MLP games in the pipeline including Magic Link, Haywire Link, Jin Hu Gold Tiger, and Prosperity Link.

    With impressive MegaJackpot slots such as MegaJackpots Cleopatra and MegaJackpots Siberian Storm under their belts, it’s clear that IGT knows what players want. However, they don’t take that for granted. Instead, the provider ensures that feedback from players is gathered and put to good use.

    The feedback program in place can help IGT make changes to math models, refine graphics, and much more. And that’s all a good thing for providers to work with.

    “We test our titles in casinos in their real-life environment,” said Bluemel. “If, based on the player feedback and our internal assessment, we have the key idea on how to improve the product, we take the game back and fine-tune it.”

    IGT partners with Yggdrasil

    In order to really make a splash in the gambling world, partnerships are a must. IGT knows this and has decided to partner with Yggdrasil in order to expand their game offerings in the US and Canada.

    IGT’s PlayCasino will soon have access to a wide range of award-winning Yggdrasil slot titles including Vikings Go Wild, Valley of the Gods, Casino Zeppelin and many more.

    "Partnering with high-performing game developers such as Yggdrasil Gaming is a pillar of IGT PlayDigital's growth strategy and an additional differentiator of the IGT PlayCasino value proposition," said Enrico Drago, IGT CEO Digital & Betting.

    PlayCasino customers in the US and Canada can expect to spot new Yggdrasil titles as early as December 2021 with many more to come in the new year.
