    Bigger and Better things await Yggdrasil players in 2021

    Yggdrasil’s 2021 Roadmap includes a variety of mechanics, features and games guaranteed to increase player engagement.

    Yggdrasil Gaming's transformation from new slot supplier to global online gambling publisher has been a sight to behold.

    In the past year, there have been various changes and new releases from the developer which not only includes amazing slots.

    Not just a slot provider

    Yggdrasil has built its reputation on being one of the biggest and best slot providers in the industry.

    Their games are of the highest quality with crisp graphics, clear sounds, immersive themes and interactive bonus features.

    Throughout 2020 they launched many new game mechanics which were a hefty boost for their portfolio.

    The big plan for 2021

    Yggdrasil wants to keep growing and enhancing its player base and presence across the globe. They will stay the course by using and building on a lot of plans and strategies from their 2020 roadmap which includes a set of mechanical frameworks proven to work.

    Another focal point for this year will be to create more Yggdrasil games incorporating Gigablox. The raging success of Lucky Neko proved that Gigablox is a big hit and a notable add-on for future games.

    Some new and exciting things in the works include a sequel to the fan-favourite slot Golden Fish Tank, the fourth release in the blockbuster Vikings series, and a range of new and exciting mechanics. Of course, the developer has plenty of new features planned including buy bonus, a gamble mode, special bets and more.

    The idea for this year is to expand on the current offering starting from the low and working up to the extremely high volatility offerings.

    Plans for Yggdrasil BOOST

    Yggdrasil's BOOST tools are nifty creations for operators with the player in mind. The tools were made more customisable throughout 2020 allowing operators to choose the colour schemes of campaigns, upload custom logotypes, prize drop images, and even GIFs.

    BOOST tools were specifically created to increase player engagement by providing them with even more incentive to return to the casino. These tools enable casinos to create different campaigns including prize drops, Mission-based leaderboards and tournaments.

    In 2020, the developer introduced the new 'highest multiplier win' tournament criteria. This is set to replace the 'highest single coin win' criteria of the Tournament Leaderboard.

    New BOOST tools to come will enable operators to run multiple campaigns at once. Thus, network and operator campaigns can run alongside one another and there are some impressive campaigns planned for the year ahead!

    Staying ahead of the competition

    The online gambling industry is seeing some strong competition at this point with operators and developers competing for top ranks.

    To remain ahead of the competition, Yggdrasil will continue their transition from being a games supplier into a global online gambling content creator. The roadmap includes building a global partner network which includes partnering with market-leading operators, expanding and building on the YG Master partners and franchisees.

    The content developer refers to it as a Decentralised Aggregation Network (DAN), as it allows all network partners to share and add content. With the YG Masters program, entry barriers are removed and the time frame for partners to commercialise their content is shortened.

    Throughout 2020 the program already went through a big expansion and 2021 will showcase the results of the collaborations.

    Remaining true to their roots

    While Yggdrasil plans to expand and explore new products and offerings to continue increasing player engagement, their primary focus will remain their slot creations.

    Players can expect a range of high-quality slots with exciting features and rewards. Be sure to keep an eye out for monthly campaigns with spectacular prize pools and much more!
