Mines by Spribe Review: You Choose the Risk, One Tile at a Time

Mines is a 5x5 grid Spribe game with a 97% RTP and one big decision: how many mines to hide before you start. Pick 1, and almost every reveal is safe, but the multiplier barely moves. Pick 20, and the multiplier climbs fast, but your first click has just a one-in-five chance of landing a star.

That choice lets you make Mines as calm or as swingy as you like. The trade-off is variety. Beyond autoplay and bet history, there isn’t much else going on.

So how do those risk settings play out in practice?

How Does Mines by Spribe Work?

Mines by Spribe is a straightforward, instant-win game. The backdrop is a simple blue, and the grid is a darker shade of blue. You can click the tiles to reveal the hidden design, which will be either a star or a bomb.

The goal is to click and reveal as many stars as possible without triggering a bomb.

The soundtrack is subtle, but the sound effects for each reveal can get annoying. If you’re not one for repetitive sounds, you can easily silence the game.

Game Mechanics

Mine's a Minesweeper-style online casino game with a 5x5 grid featuring 25 different tiles. The objective is to click the tiles to reveal stars and try to keep the bombs at bay long enough to cash out.

You can wager any amount between a minimum of €0.10 and a maximum of €100.00 per game round.

The volatility of the game varies. It changes depending on the number of mines active. You can choose 1 to 20 mines. The more mines are on the screen, the higher the volatility; the higher the multiplier per safe reveal, but they also make each reveal far less likely to succeed. With Mines, you can hit a maximum payout of 10,000x your bet.

Special Features

This game is simple, so you won’t find many complex features. If you’re looking for feature-based gameplay, we suggest trying slots or other instant-win game variants.

Mines has an autoplay function that lets you play automatically, with randomised picks if you choose it. There is also a bet history option that lets you stay on top of your betting and review your previous wagers.

Play ‘On The Go’

Mines online casino game is optimised for mobile gameplay and runs smoothly on Android and iOS mobile devices. The game's simplicity ensures it runs smoothly on smaller screens, delivering a highly engaging experience while on the move.

However, that simplicity can quickly feel repetitive and boring for players who enjoy variety and more engaging games. The mobile experience is similar to the desktop experience, so you won’t miss anything. The touch controls are responsive, and there’s also a demo version so you can test it out.

Playing it on a smaller screen might feel slightly restrictive, depending on your style and preferences. Extended game rounds may drain your battery faster.

CasinoWow Game Verdict

Mines by Spribe does one thing well: it lets you set your own volatility, from a near-safe 1-mine round to a 20-mine gamble where most clicks end the round. With a 97% RTP and a €0.10 minimum stake, it’s easy to try on a small budget, and the demo is the best place to get a feel for the mine counts first.

If you want bonus rounds or variety, a feature-rich slot will hold your attention longer. Rounds are quick, so it’s worth setting a session limit before you start.
