    Playtech set to create ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ live

    Playtech partners with Sony Pictures and plans to launch live casino variants of ‘Who Wants to Be A Millionaire?’

    The online casino industry continues to grow and thrive through new partnerships and game creations.

    Industry-leading gambling technology company, Playtech, recently partnered with Sony Pictures Television. The partnership enables Playtech to use the ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ brand across their rapidly growing Live Casino product.

    The five-year plan

    The partnership spans over 5 years during which Playtech and Sony Pictures Television (SPT) will collaborate in bringing the ‘Who Wants to Be A Millionaire?’ brand to the live portfolio of Playtech.

    Playtech plans on developing three bespoke and highly innovative games using this well-known branding. The hope is to be able to provide players with a next-level Live Game Show experience.

    During the announcement of the collaboration, Stephan Zingg from Sony Pictures Television had plenty of good things to say. Zingg mentions that Playtech Live is known for creating the most innovative online gaming experience which makes the Sony team extremely excited to get to work with them.

    Zingg is confident that the ‘Who Wants to Be A Millionaire?’ brand will enhance the player experience and deliver new elements of entertainment.

    Playtech Chief Operating Officer, Shimon Akad, said that they are immensely proud to be the chosen partners of Sony and are excited to bring the ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ brand to the live casino market.

    Akad went on to state that forming alliances with such prestigious brands is a key pillar in their content strategy especially as they look to deliver players with the most engaging and responsible gaming entertainment possible. To do so they are working on creating game show content in collaboration with leading global brands.

    'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?' is a massive win for the team as the brand has been a player favourite for many years.

    Playtech Live's ability to develop engaging product features and live games enable players to enjoy the thrill and excitement on another level. Playtech players will get first-hand experience on one of the most enduring game show formats in television history.
