ICONIC21 talks its Halloween pack and the Gravity series

ICONIC21’s Edvardas Sadovskis talks with CasinoWow about Ghost Road, Capy Cauldrons and the rest of the Halloween pack. See what’s brewing in the cauldron.

It’s that time of the year again when Halloween themes are back in the lobbies of online casinos. This year, ICONIC21 brought players something new. It is a Halloween pack of four games: Ghost Road (a crash game), Spooky Blackjack and two slots, Capy Cauldrons and Sugar Kingdom Halloween.

Ghost Road and Spooky Blackjack went live on 6 October, and the slots followed on 13 October. ICONIC21 has also got into the spirit and decorated selected live studio games for the season. The provider started out in live casino and is best known for its Gravity series, which adds multipliers to familiar games like blackjack and sic bo.

CasinoWow’s interview with Edvardas Sadovskis of ICONIC21

Edvardas Sadovskis is Chief Product Officer at ICONIC21, which now makes slots, crash and RNG casino games alongside its live tables. In this interview with us, he talks about each game in the Halloween pack, Gravity Poker and what’s coming in 2027. Let’s see what he told us.

  • CW: Before we take a deep dive into the games you’re showcasing this month, let’s meet the people behind them: Can you introduce yourself, and ICONIC21, to CasinoWow readers who are hearing about you for the first time?

I’m Edvardas Sadovskis, Chief Product Officer at ICONIC21. With more than a decade in iGaming, I lead our product strategy as we evolve from a live casino specialist into a broader content provider. At ICONIC21, we’re focused on creating innovative, scalable experiences that help operators stand out, combining cutting-edge technology with the personalised, high-quality gameplay today’s players expect.

  • CW: There’s no shortage of choice in a casino lobby, so what do you want players to recognise as distinctly ICONIC21 when they open one of your games?

We’d probably want them to recognise our style of gameplay. Something timely and memorable but not so complicated that you feel like you have to learn a new game. That’s our approach: we’d rather evolve a familiar format than reinvent it. Our Gravity series is the clearest example: players began to associate Gravity Games not with a specific game, but with a style of gameplay.

  • CW: Your new Halloween collection of games features Ghost Road, Spooky Blackjack, Capy Cauldrons and Sugar Kingdom Halloween; if you were giving our readers a guided tour, how would you introduce each stop along the way?

Ghost Road is a crash game that revolves around a simple choice: keep going or cash out. Players guide a ghost across the road, with every successful crossing increasing both the multiplier and the risk of the next move. Spooky Blackjack takes a classic seven-seat RNG blackjack game and drops it into a haunted cemetery setting, complete with atmospheric sound effects and a pumpkin-headed dealer. Capy Cauldrons is our Halloween-themed capybara slot, built around the fun and chaos of the season.

Then there’s Sugar Kingdom Halloween, which takes a lighter approach with a candy-filled world and some very strong multiplier potential at its core.

  • CW: Spooky Blackjack keeps the classic rules beneath its haunted exterior, while Capy Cauldrons has seven bonus games bubbling away; how do you decide when familiarity is the attraction and when to give players more to explore?

It comes down to where the entertainment is coming from. With blackjack, players already know and enjoy the core game, so the Halloween experience is delivered through the atmosphere, visuals and dealer presentation. The rules don’t need to change.

With a slot, the features are a much bigger part of the experience. In Capy Cauldrons, players can trigger different features individually or combine them for bigger potential rewards. The approach changes, but the objective stays the same: create something memorable without adding unnecessary complexity.

  • CW: Stepping away from spooky themes for a moment: Gravity Poker puts your own spin on Texas Hold’em. What does that game reveal about your approach to giving casino classics a new identity?

Mainly, it emphasises how we wanted to expand our Gravity series, as the concept can work across different formats. The game adds multipliers as a dynamic layer on top of a version of poker players already understand, while leaving the core mechanics untouched.

What changes is the feeling around the game. There’s more anticipation before outcomes are revealed and more potential for dramatic moments. Gravity was always designed as a mechanic that could move beyond a single product, and Gravity Poker is the latest example of that.

  • CW: Looking further ahead, what would you love ICONIC21 to become known for among players, and what can players look forward to towards the end of the year and into 2027?

Christmas is our next major seasonal focus, and we’re already working on content for that period. Alongside that, we’re expanding our slot roadmap, with the goal of increasing output to around six releases per month while continuing to explore different styles and themes. The Gravity Series will also continue to grow, and we’ll keep experimenting across both RNG and live products.

And since ICONIC21 is bringing Halloween to some of its live studios, we thought we’d ask about that too. The answer came from Stanislav from Studio Operations at ICONIC21. Here’s what he said:

  • CW: You’re also bringing Halloween into selected live studios; how much of a memorable seasonal experience comes from the people at the tables, alongside the scenery around them?

Players tend to notice the atmosphere first when they enter a game. It might be the set design, the lighting or a standout visual that immediately tells them something different is happening. What they don’t see is most of the work behind it. There are camera tests, lighting adjustments, rehearsals, safety checks, dealer scheduling and countless technical details that all have to come together. A live casino studio isn’t just a themed room; it’s a broadcast environment running a real game.

The challenge is making everything feel special without affecting the player experience or the dealer’s performance. Our rule is simple: creativity should enhance the game, never get in the way of it. If players remember the atmosphere and never think about the technical work behind it, we’ve done our job well.

ICONIC21: familiar classics and what’s next

From Spooky Blackjack to Gravity Poker, ICONIC21’s games share a timeless approach. The studio takes games players already know, like crash games, blackjack and poker, and adds something new on top, such as this year’s Halloween look.

What comes next is the Christmas season, and ICONIC21 says it’s already working on content for it. The provider is also aiming for around six online slot releases a month, so that’s definitely something we’re looking forward to. Last but not least, have fun, but remember to play safe and set a budget. And if you’re curious about a game, try its demo for free and keep the scares on the screen, not in your wallet.
