CW: CasinoWow is a big fan of Habanero games and we’ve watched your growth with awe. Can you share with us what it is that makes your titles so unique?
T.K.: Thanks to our dedicated team with a shared passion for games, we can tap into the player mindset and create great games that work anywhere. Our titles take a diverse array of themes that players are familiar with and elevate them through our vibrant graphics and world-class mechanics.
Evident in titles such as Scopa, the game pays homage to the landmarks of Italy with its celebration of its culture shining through. The title takes players on a train journey across Italy’s most recognisable cities and has its symbols appearing across a deck of cards, mirroring a famous Italian game. What makes Habanero so special is our ability to capture recognisable settings and visuals and turn them into innovative slot games which has captivated players across Europe.
CW: So, what’s your unique selling point, the reason you stand out to most of your competitors, except for the ability to capture recognisable settings and visuals?
T.K.: What has set Habanero apart from its competitors is our proprietary mathematics. Allowing us to showcase our innovative mechanics while retaining the core elements of a slot that attracts players in the first place, our technical agility ensures our games cater to all player tastes and profiles. Titles such as Techno Tumble, Return to the Feature and Marvellous Furlongs are some of our best examples of this which have gone on to become player favourites and are in our list of top performers.
As well as this, Habanero offers a vast array of solutions through our API which includes ourindustry-renowned Jackpot Race™. This highly sophisticated algorithm delivers instant prize drops to players and has been a particular success in markets with a rich land-based history such as Italy and South Africa. Operators have seen the value in this and helped Jackpot Race™ to become a familiar brand that is beloved by players.
CW: Speaking of games loved by so many players, is there something new and exciting to expect in your portfolio soon?
T.K.: We’re gearing up to unveil a new game at SiGMA which will truly set the standard and reveal Habanero’s future ambitions in terms of the quality of our game development. Encompassing all of the elements of a what makes a slot so enticing, it sees Habanero’s features working harmoniously together to create a truly memorable and lasting experience.
While we can’t give away too much yet, I have every confidence that this will prove to be a top performer in our portfolio, and we can’t wait to show more!
CW: We know you’ll be attending SiGMA Europe’s event in November; what will be your part in the gaming hub? Any lectures or surprises people can expect?
We’re really excited for SiGMA Europe, and it will be one of our biggest industry events of the year! In addition to our new flagship game and Jackpot Race™, our fantastic back-end services and other games will also be part of the conversation. I’m sure plenty of exhibitors and attendees will see why we’re a force to be reckoned with globally.
Over the course of this year, Habanero has doubled its product output and now releases two new high-quality games per month. Some of our titles from this year that our partners will be familiar with include Slime Party, Meow Janken and The Big Deal Deluxe. With a wide array of themes in each, they demonstrate the creativity that is fostered at Habanero in both our design and technical teams which come together to create experiences that truly resonate with slot players.
CW: And as final thoughts, what are your plans for the upcoming 2024? Expanding on more markets, adding features to your games, new titles, or something else exciting on the cards for you?
As always, our priority is entertaining as many players as possible and introducing them to the wonderful world of Habanero. This year has seen us enter a slew of new markets such as Sweden, City and Province of Buenos Aires (Argentina), Panama and Romania and we’ll be looking to further our presence across all of these regions. Thanks to our partnerships in 2023 with Entain, Sisal and Betway, we’ve established ourselves as a leading supplier for tier-one operators and we’ll be looking to continue this trajectory in the new year.
Further new market entry is also going to be key for us, with our product and business development teams beginning to shape our plans for debuting into the likes of Switzerland and Greece while we also have several young lively markets in the Balkans on our agenda so watch this space!
