We've collected five of the biggest casino companies and uncovered the details that make them stand out, from the slot cabinets on a casino floor to the live tables streamed to your phone.

Plenty of lists rank casino providers by market cap. A valuation changes daily and tells you little about the games you'll find at online casinos, so we've looked at what each one actually builds instead.

Aristocrat Leisure

Aristocrat Leisure has been building slot machines since 1953. The company is one of several publicly traded gaming companies on this list.

They build for casino floors first, and adapt those games for online play afterwards.

The company is based in Australia. They are considered the biggest slot machine manufacturer. Their Lightning Link slot series continues to gain favour among players online and offline.

Most of their cabinets never reach a browser, so what you find online is a small part of what they build.

Evolution AB

Evolution AB, formerly Evolution Gaming, has been changing the online live casino experience since its launch in 2006.

Many players have played an Evolution game without knowing it. The company's name is rarely on the game itself.

Evolution runs live table games including roulette, blackjack and baccarat, alongside the game shows it is best known for. The tables run around the clock, so you can find a seat even at 4am. Evolution also owns several slot brands:

Light & Wonder, formerly Scientific Games, has expanded its offering to include slots, social casino and digital platforms. This US-based provider builds online video slots around themes players already recognise.

Monopoly Big Spin is one of its standout titles, combining branded and casino entertainment.

That branded expertise came to the group through Shuffle Master, which arrived via Bally. Scientific Games bought Bally in 2014, and took the Light & Wonder name in 2022.

Their roots are on the casino floor. The online range keeps growing, and it is still the smaller half of the business.

The company became private when it changed hands in 2025. Apollo bought IGT's gaming and digital business, while the lottery arm kept its listing and was renamed Brightstar Lottery. The games carried on under the IGT name.

They sold Snaitech, their Italian consumer business, to Flutter.

The catalogue leans on long-running series like Age of the Gods rather than a steady stream of new titles.

What this means when you pick a casino

Every software provider has its own advantages, and you can see that across the five on our list. Aristocrat leads on land-based slots, Evolution on live games. Their market cap shows how big they have grown, but it does not decide much when you are choosing where to play.

Plenty of online casino lobbies are filled with games from smaller suppliers that are not publicly traded at all. Size and fame are not the whole picture. What matters is whether the games in front of you are the ones you want to play.
