    Betsson Group enters Serbian market and launches Rizk Casino

    The Betsson Group has successfully received a license for the Serbian casino market. In celebration, the company launched its Serbia-facing Rizk Casino site.

    The online casino industry is filled with providers and operators that are always looking for new markets. This isn’t a simple process, as obtaining new licenses is a complicated process.

    Recently, the Betsson Group announced that they managed to secure a license for the Serbian online casino market.

    A stronger presence for Betsson

    The well-known online gambling operator has spent many years working at its place to become the number one casino group in the EU online casino industry. This new license helps them cement that title as they continue to branch into the Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia (CEECA) region.

    While this is the next step in Betsson’s plan, it’s definitely not the final part of their commitment to expand through geographic and market diversification.

    As part of their new licensing agreement, Betsson launched Rizk.rs – a Serbian-facing version of the popular Rizk Casino that can be accessed via desktop and mobile.

    Andrew Valenzia, Commercial Director for Betsson’s subsidiary Zecure Gaming, commented on the new brand expansion, saying:

    “Serbia is an exciting new market for our brand, Rizk. We’re eager to replicate our successes in other markets as we see tremendous potential and opportunities awaiting us there. Our team’s dedication and hard work have been key drivers of our achievements, and we’re prepared to bring the same level of energy to Serbia.”

    Now that Rizk has officially launched in Serbia with the help of Betsson, Serbian players can enjoy everything that the online casino is famous for, including the Wheel of Rizk.

    Accessible via desktop PCs, tablets, and mobile devices, players will find hundreds of online casino games by providers such as Pragmatic Play, Quickspin, Red Tiger, and more. The game options include slots, table games, jackpot games, live dealer titles, and much more.

    The same handsome Captain Rizk superhero is also the site mascot and can be spotted flying around the casino as he saves the day with big bonuses and rewards.

    Betsson has big plans for Rizk

    In 2020, the Betsson Group acquired Rizk, along with other online casinos, when they purchased Zecure Gaming Ltd from GIG. The deal included all business activities, tech, operational services, and associated assets.

    Rizk, as well as the other casinos that were acquired, including Thrills Casino, Kaboo Casino, and Guts Casino, are all stocked with a wide range of casino games and have partnered with top-rated payment methods.

    It’s because of these details that Betsson has decided that Rizk should be the first to launch in Serbia. There’s no denying that the group has big plans for Rizk moving forward, especially as they aim to move into other markets in the future.

    Ronni Hartvig, Chief Commercial Officer of Betsson Group, commented on the work that Zecure is doing with the Rizk brand, saying:

    “When I look at the performance of Zecure Gaming over the past years, I am genuinely impressed with the team’s outstanding achievements. They have revitalised the essence of the Rizk brand, rekindling its inherent fun and excitement, and expertly applied their knowledge to multiple markets. I look forward to seeing what they will manage to achieve in this new market.”
